We will introduce on this page each month a new and special Teddy Bear of the HERMANN Collection.
In 1997 the late president of HERMANN-Spielwaren, Coburg would have celebrated his 75th birthday. Unfortunately he passed away June 19th 1995. His spirit lives on in his company which he handed over to his both children Dr. Ursula and Martin Hermann. Under his leadership the old Teddy Bears of his father Max Hermann became known and famous all over the world. | |
He cherished the old German tradition and his leisure time he served as a
member of the old Coburg rifle association which is one of the oldest and
most traditional German folklore associations. It was founded by the dukes
of Coburg in 1354 - almost 650 years ago. In 1963 Rolf-G. Hermann became
the "First Knight" of the Coburg ducal rifle guard. The same year his son
Martin was born. 1963 was a very memorable year for Rolf-G. Hermann.
Every Year Rolf-G. Hermann and all the other ducal riflemen of the Coburg rifle association joined the grand Munich Oktoberfest Parade dressed in their historical Rifleman Uniforms. In memory of the 75th birthday of Rolf-G. Hermann his daughter Ursula created this special Oktoberfest Bear for all his friends. It is the first HERMANN Bear ever to have a musical Movement playing "Edelweiss", one of the most favorite songs of Rolf-G. Hermann. |
