 HERMANN Teddy Bear Artist !
Ulla Hermann

Ulla HermannUlla Hermann, the granddaughter of the founder Max Hermann, is responsible for the Teddy Bear and plush toy design in the HERMANN Design Studio.

During one year she developed about 60 to 80 new items. She learned to design Teddy Bears and plush toys in the company of her father Rolf-G., and she was highly inspired from her mother Dorle. In spite of her love of the design work, she studied economics at University and graduated with a Doctor of Economics.

Also during her time at the university, she was always integrated in the work of the family´s business.

Ulla is always looking for new design elements, but keeping the tradition of the HERMANN manufacturing fundamentals in mind. Her "See Through Bear" (picture right hand side) is a typical example of this.

With her Bears, Ulla wants to tell stories, which move her thoughts and her feelings. So you will find often explanation sheets,  which come with her Bears, and which tell the ideas surroundings her Bears.
