Happy New Year 2000 and the Y2K-Bug
Just a few months separate us from the millennium change. With giant fireworks the people will celebrate the new millennium all over the world. The closer the greatest event of the last 1000 years approaches, the more briskly millions of specialists around the world work to conform our modern computer world to the year 2000. The scary "Y2K Bug" is in headlines everywhere. What the founding father's of today's EDP system did not think of 40 years ago when they introduced their 2 digit numbering system, has turned into a race against time, when in the year 2000 the computer date changes from 99 back to 00 and it seems that our computers think they have been set back to the year 1900.
