Many Teddy Bear Collectors know Biggi Netzel as a lovable
woman, who wants to impress by her bears and not by her extrovert behaviour.
In the year 1992 she discovered the Teddy Bear and fell in love with him. In spring 1993 she introduced her first Teddy Bear designs to the public. Collectors and Museums became conscious of Biggi Netzel and her bears.
In autumn 1994 HERMANN Coburg and Biggi Netzel decided to work together. She works exclusively for HERMANN.
At the 1995 and 1996 International Toy Fair in Nuremberg,
HERMANN-Coburg introduced a collection of 15 Biggi Bears. The 1996 designs
are pictured on the left. All bears are limited editions of 250 or 500
pieces.
Biggi Netzel has become an important part of the German teddy bear artist scene. She has also become wellknown in other countries. HERMANN-Coburg introduced her bears in USA, England, Japan and South Africa.
Currently Biggi does not take part at Teddy Bears contests outside Germany.
