110th anniversary of Vincent van Gogh's death

Expressive brightness in colors and extensive brush movements are the characteristics of the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), which made him the idol of the expressionistic paintings around the change of the century. He is categorized in the impressionism era of the late 19th century. With his highest excitement of exaggerative form for self-willed paintings of unbroken and passionate colors, van Gogh was also known as the survivor of the impressionism. With paintings, Vincent van Gogh found a way to deal with his emotional tensions. His time at the Province is known as the high peak of his works. In 1890, Vincent van Gogh passed away from the consequences of his suicide attempt. Pictures from van Gogh which had no buyers during his lifetime, are now auctioned for incredible prices. Some of his most well known paintings are the Sunflower pictures, which he created in 1888 in Arles.
