The male national attire for Scotland is the "kilt"- a plaid skirt with belt and purse. Each Scottish clan has its own shapes and colors. The roots of the bagpipe lay in India. In the highlands from Scotland originally the herdsmen played the bagpipe. Eventually the instrument became the Scottish National Instrument. During Scottish parades, hundreds of bagpipers participate.
