When Max Hermann died in 1955, his son Rolf-G. took over the leadership of the company. Soon Rolf-G. Hermann becomes one of the most known personages of the German toy industry.

Beside the manufacture of many traditional soft toys and Teddy Bears in the Fifties, Sixties and early Seventies, the company developed under the management of Rolf-G. Hermann to become the most famous manufacturer of soft toy Characters for the German speaking countries. Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Winni the Pooh, Paddington Bear or Yogi Bear belonged to the HERMANN manufacture line.

In 1951 Rolf-G. Hermann married Dorle Engel, one of the heirs of the big Sonneberg LEVEN Toy Company.

Until her death in 1992, Dorle Hermann was responsible for the designs of the HERMANN-Coburg soft toys and Teddy Bears. In 1995 Rolf-G. Hermann died. Since this time the company has been lead by his children Martin-J. and Dr. Ursula (Ulla) Hermann, the 3rd generation of the family.
